Automatic Voltage Regulator

Things You Should Know About Avr Generator.

Generator is electricity power plant, The main generator's problem is not permanent load for generator more loading is give to generator made the voltage going down,
generally the generator have a AVR ( Automatic Voltage Regulator ) who can working to raise and reduce voltage at generator, if aims the voltage output can be stabilize and constant,
AVR Generator reference voltage settings for the system of one phase/three phase, to arrange excitation voltage be passed to magnetic field circumference with aim to raise and reduce voltage of generator, if the load is added the voltage of generator will be drop, the excitation voltage will be increased to raise the voltage of generator.

Positive voltage build up from residual levels is ensured by the use of efficient semiconductors in the power circuitry of the AVR.

Frequency measuring circuit continually monitors the generator output frequency and provides under-speed protection of the excitation system. This is done by reducing the output voltage proportionally with speed below a pre-settable threshold, manual adjustment is provided for factory setting of the under frequency roll off point, This can be changed to 50 Hz or 60 Hz in the field by push-on link selection.

Wide range of stability settings are available to compensate for machine size and applications, 'slow' setting is available for applications involving single / twin cylinder engines and where lamp-flicker could be a problem.

Provision is made for the connection of remote voltage trimmer, allowing the user fine control of the generator's output voltage.

The AVR has the facility for droop CT (current tansformer) connection, to allow parallel running with other semilarly equipped generators.
